Question for y'all, who's your favourite player, current or possibly retired. and maybe a brief explanation why. If you want to throw out a couple, maybe a pitcher and position player, that'd be cool too.

Personally, I'm a big Robbie Cano fan. Yep, the Yankees. okay, continuing on. I just love his confidence, and clean swagger that he has. Also he has a rocket arm for a second baseman, and maybe the purest swing outside of Griffey jr. thats, my opinion, i know comparing anyone to Jr. can to some people be seen as blasphemy, so feel free to shoot that down if you want.

As far as pitchers go, its really a toss up. i Don't have any clear cut favourite. Tim lincecum and trevor Bauer really interest me when they pitch, cuz of their mechanics and pure talent, plus watching Bauer's pre-game routine is incredible, if you haven't seen it. check it out.

thats me, lets hear from you, who you like, and why.

Honestly, as much as Jose Bautista is my idol, I'm going to have to go with Daniel Murphy. He grew up 45 minutes from where I live now, which is amazing because I workout with the man that was once his travel ball coach, which lead to me getting to hit with Dan one day. He gives God all the credit for who he is and where he is today. He's become a very consistent hitter this season, along with making some great plays at second for the Mets. But he wasn't a starter his senior year in high school. Jacksonville University picked him up, where he really worked at getting playing time. He wasn't a relatively known player at JU, no superstar status or anything, but the Mets decided to draft him anyway. His ego is practically nonexistent, he's a very friendly guy, works hard on the weights, in the cages, etc., and really knows the game of baseball. Sorry Yankees fans, had to go with a man from the other side of the Big Apple though :)

Growing up as a kid who spent all my waking hours playing Backyard Baseball I was a big Bagwell fan until he retired. I've always been a fan of Jeter, Hamilton, and Ichiro too.

But for my overall favorite player I would have to pick David Freese. I remember when he made his major league debut as a catcher a few years ago. He grew up and lived in St. Louis and went to a small community college in STL before transferring to a college in Alabama. He was one of the most underrated, unnoticed players in the game until Game 6 of the World Series last year. Now everyone loves him, some for his looks and other for his talent. He is one of the nicest and most down to earth guys I have met who is very deserving of all the attention he gets.

Hitter:Toss up between Granderson, Jeter, and Robinson Cano, they all have have such a sweet swing, play their balls off, and they are all gamers who lay it all on the line.for their team.

Pitcher: Mariano Rivera, the greatest of all time at what he does. Never cocky and just gets the job done on a consistent basis.

My favorite is Chipper Jones. He was my favorite when i was little and is still my favorite now. Not only because I'm a Braves fan and grew up watching him, but also because he has had an amazing career. He is 40 and is still hitting home runs. He is arguably one of the best switch hitters in baseball. It's hard to believe number 10 wont be playing next year.

actually, in Canada it's spelt with a U. thanks though bro. It's like that in all Commonwealth countries, along with Neighbour, flavour, and other words. It's just another quirk of living North of the Border.

dude spelt favorite wrong not being a dick but spelling is huge for some people one here ive dealt with it on my own blogs just a heads up.

But my favorite player is Yadier Molina because he is an absolute beast behind the dish, one of the best defensive if not the best catcher in the game right now, he blocks pitches has a cannon for a arm and has brought his power numbers up this year and he is just a humble guy whos a great player. Pitcher this year is Lance Lynn guy is a monster i love his mechanics and the success he's had this year one of the better and underratted starters in the league
