As Samantha woke up she began to think to herself about why she did. She thought about why her suicide attempt failed. She started to cry thinking how much of failure she must be to screw up such a simple thing. She didn’t have much time to wallow in sadness as she heard her mother’s footsteps coming up the stairs. She quickly dried her eyes and pretended to be asleep.

“What are you still doing in bed?”  Her mother asked.

“It’s only 6:45.”

“So, your bus leaves…

Sometimes I even cut myself to see how much it bleeds

It's like adrenaline, the pain is such a sudden rush for me
